How to access and use Dutyman
Dutyman is our online booking system – a self-service system for volunteers to select duties.
Jackie enters bookings on Dutyman. Volunteers log on and can choose open crew slots.
You will be given the log-in details together with your own password. These are separate for Tranquility and Endeavour.
Initially Dutyman can seem a little daunting but soon becomes familiar. Click on How do I…. at the top of every Dutyman page and you will find instructions.
Once you volunteer for a particular duty, you can request email reminders.
Do you use a calendar on your phone and laptop? Here is a clever way to keep track of your Swingbridge duties.
On Dutyman, go to the roster page, click on Sync with your phone calendar - it is one of the buttons on the right. Scroll to the bottom and click on copy to clipboard under Duty Calendar.
📅 Add to your Calendar:
For iPhone: Open your Settings app Tap Calendar Tap Accounts Tap Add Account Choose Other Tap Add Subscribed Calendar. Paste the Dutyman link and save.
For Android / Google Calendar: You must do this on a computer web browser first. Open Google Calendar On the left, next to "Other calendars", click the + (plus sign) Select From URL. Paste the Dutyman link. It will automatically sync to your Android phone’s calendar app.
Now you have your Dutyman duties showing on your phone – you can toggle this on or off. Stuck? Just ask a grandchild for help!
